It Never Gets Easier

AM: 47 min :: 7M

I did the usual short morning loop, but added a 1/2 mile on the track of alternating 200s (38/48) just to keep my legs honest. It didn't feel as hard as I thought it would, a positive sign that I have retained a good bit of fitness and even a little turnover.

My attempt at strength work left me a bit sore, especially in the hamstrings. It will be an arduous process for sure, but ultimately it will payoff.

Patrick, you could take 4 weeks off completely and would only drop 1-1.5 vdot levels. Don't worry about having "lost fitness" the muscles are still there, the enzymes within them still there. capillary networks still massive and there. You are a beast! And inspiring, keep at it.
