Mad City Not Quite 100k

AM: 55km run + 5km hobble :: 34M

I'm not going to go into too much detail right now, but its pretty obvious it didn't go well. The weather was demoralizing and when injury struck, I wasn't in the state of mind to fight to finish. I almost immediately threw in the towel. The right thing to do, but disappointing nonetheless. More later.

Pat,

As you know, for an athlete, doing the smart thing is rarely any consolation for not achieving what you set out to do, I have been there myself more than once. The other thing I know is that when someone chooses to or has the ability to train and race at such a high level and push themselves the way you do, that there is always a chance of great success or great failure. Again, I have been there. I was betting on you to win this race, and if they were to run it agian in a few months I would bet on you again. Hang in there, I hope you come back quickly.

Sorry to hear about the injury.

Here's hoping you're back to full strength quickly...
