This is pure snow! Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?

PM: 58 min :: 10M (last 2 miles 5:26/5:02)

Spring has sprung so to speak. We're sure to get another cold spell, but we got to enjoy warmth and sunshine for one day at least. I forgot how soaked I get on these initial warm days. I had the mud streak going up my back by the time I got home. The run itself felt good. I pushed a little, but for the most part I was relaxed and strong.

I always seem to be a little bit behind on music. I listen to Drive 105 in the car, but even that is getting a little commercial now. Is Green Day really that alternative anymore? I mean if I hear the song on KDWB, I probably shouldn't here it on Drive. The Current is good, but it seems I have to be in the right mood to listen. Anyway, I bring this up because I've heard the Kaiser Chiefs on Drive for the past few months, but held off on buying anything from them yet. Today I decided to download the "popular" songs "I Predict A Riot" and "Ruby" from Itunes and I'm glad I did. I'm definitely in the mood to hear a new (to me) group. I also went back in time a little (I refuse to use the phrase "old school") and downloaded some Billy Squier and a Van Halen tune that appears one of my favorite movies Better Off Dead. I make no secret of my unabashed love of Van Halen and I can't see how someone can't hear the opening of "Everybody Wants Some" and feel the absolute need to jump up on the coffee table and play some air guitar. That sentence had a lot of "ands" AND I don't care. Anyway, this isn't Rolling Stone. Enough already.

There's a younger guy with a running blog who posted a pic of himself standing in a trash can after a run (filled with water for use as an ice bath). Of course I had to comment, "It's a damn shame when people be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy."

Being in his early 20's of course he had no idea what I was talking about. Man I loved that movie. Oh, nice run and great finish by the way.

Don't forget:

"Sorry Johnny. I don't have a dime"
"Didn't ask for a dime. Two dollars."
