Don't Worry, Ricky, You're Still The Best

AM: 6M

There was almost a fall feeling in the air this morning with temps in the high-50s. I could get used to that, but I know better. I felt strong today as a result. I threw in a hard, un-timed 1/2 mile at the end of the run and my legs just ate up ground - definitely a good feeling going into a race tomorrow.

I'm going to try really hard to work on the mental aspects of my race this time around. The weather should be good, maybe a little humid. I don't know who I'll be running against for sure, but I did hear that Jason Finch will be running, so it is guaranteed to go out fast. But I'm going to try to block everything else out and focus on my attitude, control the ups and the downs, and most importantly keeping my drive through the finish line regardless of my proximity to the competition. My legs will be there, now I just have to work on from the neck up. We can all take some lessons from Rickey.

Yo PR, well done at Lumber. A reveral from last year with Jason. He's been rambling through the streets here in town. I heard it's a fast course. Haven't done a 5km in quite some time, speed work though. Probably try and sneak one in sometime soon. Always fun to switch it up a bit from time to time.

hey PR you should run my Chippewa course next year if it fits in your sched. Pretty fast course, nothing like Afton and not even close to Psycho.

scenic as hell though and very runnable.
